And aren’t we ever so glad! Literally one week prior to commencing our search for a venue, The Big Pineapple function centre, The Plantation Room, reopened for business.
Open for functions from dawn until dusk, the function centre is flexible in its layout, offering four function rooms in total, to allow for 10 to 350 guests for your special occasion. Walled entirely by glass, the outlook from The Plantation Room is stunning. So much greenery, as you look out across the lovely plantation toward the rain forestry that borders the property.
Open for inspection every Saturday (except for Saturday 8th of September of course!) during the Grower’s market , you’re welcome to head on down to meet Sue and Annette, the lovely venue managers from Business Conferences Sunshine Coast. The duo are so warm and accommodating, you’ll feel right at home as they assist you with plans for your special event.

We met the lovely sisterly duo – Scienta and Jacinta from Style Le Aisle over the weekend. With 6 years combined experience in the field, the pair have now branched out into their own event styling company. Complimenting each other perfectly, Jacinta with her love for all things colourful and unique, and Scienta adding that touch of vintage elegance; together they achieve beautiful overall design, whilst maintaining incredible attention to the most intricate decorative detail for your event.
Style Le Aisle cater to a number of events, be it a vintage-inspired wedding ceremony, boutique event, candy buffet station or an elegant high tea gathering. If you’ve not seen any of their work previously, you’re in for a treat. Here’s a little taste of what these talented ladies have to offer. We can’t wait to see what they will be sampling for us at A Darling Affair.

Not a Bride-to-be? A Darling Affair is for all kinds of party people!
If you’re anything like us, you’ve been guilty of trawling through lovely images of vintage weddings, complete with garlands, wild flowers, up-cycled glass jars and the rest – and thinking, “if only I were planning a wedding”.
Never fear! For vintage and lovely are not only for Brides-to-be. You may have seen the growing trend for styled birthday parties, baby showers, graduation celebrations, or any other excuse to party. We sure have, and we are jumping right on that band wagon. Our fair is for the Not-to-be-Brides too. At A Darling Affair, we believe everyone has a right and reason to celebrate in a darling way.

Tara, of Hann’s-On photography, can best be described as adorably quirky, friendly, enthusiastic and down right loveable. She has a certain flair about her, and a knack for stealing that perfect candid moment. Tara is responsible for all of A Darling Affair’s beautiful photographic images; so naturally, we are pleased to introduce Hann’s-On Photography to you in our very first vendor feature.
If you are anything like the two of us, pouting and striking a pose does not come naturally. Fortunately, failing to be photogenic is not a problem when you have Tara behind the lens. Within minutes, you might think you’ve known her for years and, before you know it, you are frolicking comfortably through softly lit fields, whilst Tara is snapping shots that couldn’t be staged if you tried. That’s not to say that composition doesn’t come into play; Tara is queen of adorable props – perhaps the one thing she enjoys more than photography is garage sale trawling for that perfect vintage piece.
